Technical background
what i use.
My work starts with systems programming and extends into native applications, embedded hardware, graphics and the web. These are the languages, platforms and tools I reach for along the way.
01 / Low-level
Systems & assembly
Instructions, memory and boot environments.
NASM / x86 / x86-64 / IA-32 assembly
Instruction-level programming, registers, memory, debugging and architecture-specific work.
Intel Itanium / IA-64
Familiar with the Itanium architecture and its assembly model, separate from IA-32.
C / C++
Native applications, performance, memory management and platform integration.
UEFI / firmware
x64 UEFI applications, boot environments and build tooling, including discord-EFI.
02 / Languages
Application development
Languages and platforms beyond the boot screen.
C# / Java / Kotlin
Application development, JVM tooling and native interoperability.
Rust / Go
Systems and backend languages with different approaches to memory, concurrency and tooling.
Swift / Objective-C
Apple-platform languages and native application ecosystems.
Python
Automation, hardware integration, scripts and build utilities.
03 / Frontend
Web & WebAssembly
Interfaces, browser runtimes and deployment.
HTML / CSS / JavaScript
Markup, responsive layouts and browser interactions. This site runs on plain HTML, CSS and JS.
TypeScript / JSX / TSX
Typed JavaScript and component-based interfaces.
WebAssembly (WASM)
Compiled code and native-style interoperability in browser runtimes.
Cloudflare Pages / static deployment
Git-backed publishing without needing an application server.
04 / Multiplayer
Game development
Server systems, scripting and community tools.
FiveM / Lua / Lua 5.4
Server resources, client/server scripts, events and integrations for GTA V multiplayer communities.
Roblox Studio / Luau
Roblox development and multiplayer scripting with Luau.
Minecraft modding / Java
Modpack porting and compatibility across game versions.
05 / Rendering
Graphics & UI
Native rendering and GPU-backed interfaces.
Kotlin / native interoperability
UI architecture and work toward a native GPU-accelerated rendering backend.
Vulkan / OpenGL / DirectX
Vulkan interop, OpenGL fallback and Windows graphics support.
06 / Physical systems
Hardware & tooling
Embedded code, actual machines and the connections between them.
System-on-Chip / embedded development
SoC coding through NASA and NCR internships, plus ARM64 and Raspberry Pi development across hardware and software boundaries.
Networking / Linux / remote systems
Ethernet link and throughput diagnostics, SSH access, local services and tracking issues across devices, processes and network connections.
Hardware interfaces / diagnostics
GPIO inputs and outputs, physical wiring, serial connections, power and throttling checks, and debugging where software meets the board.
Boot environments / virtualization
x64 UEFI, native build chains, serial debugging and Hyper-V development setups. Debugging before the operating system starts is part of the fun.
Self-hosted systems / media transport
Running local services, configuring RTSP streaming and MediaMTX, and integrating device inputs and event-driven controls into a custom home security system.
07 / Foundations
Legacy languages
Older languages worth understanding.
FORTRAN / COBOL
Basic understanding of their syntax and programming models.
Professional background
internship experience.
NASA / NCR
System-on-Chip
Internship coding work.
SoC programming
System-on-Chip coding during internships at NASA and NCR.
NASA
Spacecraft software
Code development alongside engineering teams.
Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C)
Worked with a guidance team on code intended for potential use in future spacecraft.
Environmental Control & Life Support Systems (ECLSS)
Helped with code-development efforts alongside life support teams for possible future spacecraft applications.
